I created this site to share my writing. Click on the two bars next to my name. That’s where this new format hid the main menu.
My Stories contains, well, my stories. These are short stories in a variety of genres. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
My Blog contains my thoughts. It began with a WordPress class on blogging. My assignments needed to be posted and that was the beginning. It will become whatever it becomes – hopefully it remains approachable.
My Novels hasn’t been created yet. I plan to post my first one by chapters. I hope someone reads it. I need the feedback.
Who Am I?
Have you ever started a conversation with someone and the next time you see them, they don’t remember who you are? Yeah, me too. I learn more than I tell. I’m afraid to share. I remember in high school, a friend of mine said she didn’t want to be friends anymore because she just didn’t know me very well. Yes, I did just call her a ‘friend of mine.’
I describe myself as an uber-introvert. But, the truth is I’m not that uber. It’s just easier for me to ask questions than to divulge information. Really, how much do I have to share after the introduction and shaking of hands? You’re so much more interesting than I am.
However, since this is supposed to tell you who I am, I’ll tell you what I think you need to know.
I’ve dreamed about being a writer for decades so I wrote a variety of manuals and procedures for computer and telecommunications hardware and software. Not exactly what I dreamed about writing.
I moved to Minnesota with my husband. I joined a writer’s community, wrote a lot of short stories, heard a lot of criticism but never heard the words ‘your writing is horrible,’ worked to hone my craft, and entered some contests with mixed results.
Now? I continue to write short stories but I’m also writing a novel. Whatever I write, it’s for me and the people in my life. Those people? My target audience. My trusted readers. They never give up on me or quit reading my stories. I hope you’ll become part of that audience.
