I just posted a new short story. At least, I thought I did.

See, I entered a short story contest. It’s one I enter annually. I just got my latest results and I’m bummed about it. Judges seemed to like the story but hated the ending. So, like I do, I posted the story. About 4 hours ago.

It isn’t there yet. Mostly because the system clock is off so ‘Immediate’ isn’t.

I’m angry. I wasted a day trying to figure out why the story hasn’t posted. I don’t want to chat with WordPress. I want their documentation to tell me what’s going on.

Piece of cake, right? Not unless you use the precise keyword to find what you’re looking for. I still haven’t figured that out, but I did discover that their UTC code (the universal time thingy that should be UTC -5 for Minnesota in Daylight Savings Time) was wrong. So, I pressed reset.

Still waiting. At some point, the story should post and you can read it. I, in the meantime, am going to go scream at the snow that’s falling. For Pete’s sake, Spring, stop with the snow already!
